This 25-day East Africa safari Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya & Tanzania adventure takes you through the heart of East Africa, exploring Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania. The journey begins in Rwanda, where you’ll experience the thrill of Golden Monkey tracking in Volcanoes National Park. From there, we venture into Uganda for a memorable Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Continue to Kenya’s famed Masai Mara and Amboseli National Park, known for their incredible wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Finally, conclude your safari in Tanzania, exploring the iconic Serengeti and the stunning Ngorongoro Crater, before relaxing on the beautiful beaches of Zanzibar.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Arrival at Kigali International Airport.
Transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Evening at leisure to explore Kigali or relax at the hotel.
Overnight: Hotel in Kigali.
Day 2: Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Morning city tour of Kigali, including a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
Lunch in Kigali.
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in the afternoon.
Overnight: Lodge near Volcanoes National Park.
Day 3: Golden Monkey Tracking in Volcanoes National Park
Early morning briefing and start of Golden Monkey tracking.
Enjoy a scenic hike through the bamboo forests while observing these playful primates.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Optional cultural visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village in the afternoon.
Overnight: Lodge near Volcanoes National Park.
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Uganda
Drive to the Uganda-Rwanda border and cross into Uganda.
Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Arrival and check-in at your lodge.
Overnight: Lodge in Bwindi.
Day 5: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Early morning briefing followed by Gorilla trekking.
Trek through dense forest to find one of the habituated gorilla families.
Spend an hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
Overnight: Lodge in Bwindi.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Morning departure to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
En route, enjoy the scenic drive through Uganda’s beautiful countryside.
Arrival and check-in at the lodge.
Overnight: Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning game drive in the park to spot elephants, lions, and other wildlife.
Afternoon boat safari on the Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and birdlife.
Overnight: Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 8: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park, known for its population of chimpanzees.
Arrival and check-in at the lodge.
Afternoon relaxation or optional activities like a nature walk.

Day 9: Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Day 11: Nairobi City Tour and Transfer to Masai Mara
Morning city tour of Nairobi, including visits to the Giraffe Centre and David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage.
Afternoon transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve.

Days 12-13: Safari in Masai Mara National Reserve
Full-day game drives in Masai Mara to witness the rich wildlife, including the Big Five.
