Day 8: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today is one of the highlights of your 10 Days Uganda Big Five and Primates Expedition.

The trek may take several hours depending on the gorillas’ location and the terrain. Once the gorillas are located, visitors are generally allowed one hour with them under the applicable park rules. Observe their behaviour, family interactions, feeding, and movement while maintaining the required distance and following your guide’s instructions.

A porter can be hired to help carry your bag and provide support on the trail. Trekking conditions vary, so sturdy hiking boots, long trousers, a rain jacket, drinking water, and a reasonable level of fitness are recommended.

This remarkable encounter makes the 10 Days Uganda Big Five and Primates Expedition a truly special African wildlife holiday.
