Detailed 4-Day Gorilla Trekking Adventure Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional World Blossom Safaris driver-guide. After a short introduction and briefing about your 4-Day Gorilla Trekking Adventure, you will begin your scenic journey towards Volcanoes National Park in northwestern Rwanda.

Depending on your arrival time, you may visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial or enjoy a short Kigali city tour before proceeding to Musanze.

Day 2: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Today is the highlight of your 4-Day Gorilla Trekking Adventure. After an early breakfast, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing by professional park rangers.

During the briefing, you will learn about mountain gorilla behaviour, trekking guidelines, conservation efforts, and safety procedures. You will then be assigned a gorilla family and begin your guided trek through the beautiful rainforest and bamboo vegetation of the Virunga Mountains.

The trek can take between 2 and 6 hours or longer, depending on the location of the gorilla family.

Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch the dominant silverback, mothers, juveniles, and playful young gorillas as they feed, interact, and move through the forest.

After this incredible encounter, return to the starting point and receive your gorilla trekking certificate.

Return to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village Experience – Relaxation
