Today is the highlight of your 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Chimpanzee & Wildlife Safari.
After an early breakfast, travel to the designated park headquarters for a briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then enter the forest with your assigned guides and trackers to search for a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek can take several hours depending on the gorillas’ location and the terrain. Bwindi’s forest trails may be steep, muddy, or slippery, so a reasonable level of fitness is helpful. When you find the gorillas, you will have a strictly regulated period to observe them from the permitted distance and learn about their behavior, family relationships, and conservation.
Watching a mountain gorilla family in its natural habitat is a powerful wildlife experience and a highlight for many visitors to Uganda.
After trekking, return to your lodge to relax and reflect on the encounter. Depending on time and your interests, an optional community or cultural experience may be arranged at an additional cost.
Meal plan: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Accommodation: Lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Important: Gorilla trekking permits must be confirmed in advance. Availability is limited, and the permit price depends on the applicable official rates and traveler category.
Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before beginning the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, admire the beautiful countryside and enjoy planned stops for refreshments and lunch, depending on your route and schedule.
Your driver-guide will drop you at your agreed destination, airport, or hotel.
This marks the end of your 6 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Chimpanzee & Wildlife Safari with World Blossom Safaris, leaving you with lasting memories of Uganda’s mountain gorillas, wild chimpanzees, and remarkable wildlife.
