Detailed 8-Day Uganda Big Five Wildlife Safari & Chimpanzee Tracking Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kampala
Welcome to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa! Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your World Blossom Safaris representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala.
Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at your hotel or enjoy an optional visit to a nearby attraction. Your guide will brief you about the upcoming safari, wildlife experiences, travel arrangements, and what to expect during your journey.
This first day of your 8 Days Uganda Big Five Wildlife Safari & Chimpanzee Tracking adventure provides time to recover from your flight and prepare for the exciting days ahead.
Accommodation: Entebbe or Kampala hotel.
Meals: Depending on your arrival time and package arrangement.
Day 2: Transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, depart for northern Uganda through beautiful countryside landscapes, rural trading centers, and traditional villages. Travel toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will join an experienced ranger for a guided walking safari to look for wild white rhinos.
This is an important experience for travelers hoping to see all members of Africa’s Big Five during their Ugandan adventure. Rhinos are not currently free-roaming in Uganda’s national parks, so Ziwa offers a managed conservation setting in which to observe them on foot.
After the rhino experience, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park, known for its savannah plains, woodlands, riverine forests, and rich wildlife.
Arrive at your lodge, check in, and relax as you prepare for the following day’s game drive.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise
Wake up early for breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. Explore the savannah in search of elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, and other wildlife. Leopards are present but elusive, so sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Your guide will help you search for animals and explain their behavior, habitats, and role in the ecosystem. The early hours offer a wonderful opportunity to observe wildlife when many animals are active.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile toward the base of Murchison Falls. Watch for hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants along the riverbanks, and colorful waterbirds. The cruise offers excellent scenery and photographic opportunities.
Return to your lodge after the activity and enjoy dinner.
