Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick Up & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your guide will pick you up from Kampala or Entebbe International Airport after breakfast.

Drive southwest through Masaka and Mbarara, stopping at the Equator for photos and refreshments.

Continue through rolling hills, banana plantations, and terraced highlands famously known as the “Switzerland of Africa.”

Arrive in Bwindi in the evening, check in to your lodge, relax, and prepare for your Gorilla Trekking adventure the next day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a Gorilla Trekking briefing.

You will be assigned a Gorilla family and begin your trek through the lush, misty rainforest.

Trekking may take between 2 to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas.

Once you find them, enjoy a full 1 hour observing and photographing these gentle giants — a moment that creates memories for a lifetime.

Optional afternoon activity:

• Batwa Cultural Experience: Learn about the forest traditions of the indigenous Batwa people.

Day 3: Return to Kampala or Entebbe
